The 6-1/2" Spanish form blunderbuss barrels with turnings and top flat signed as noted. Flat locks convex at tail, of brass with integral flashpans. Plain goose neck cock with plain steel frizzen. Plain brass mounts comprising of trigger guard, side escutcheons ramrod pipes, and plain spurred brass butt. Dark walnut fullstocks inlaid with silver wire at breeches, forming a shell design. "Le Crache Feu" translating to "The Spitfire". Overall 12-1/2". CONDITION: Barrels and locks are good with some staining. Hammers with minor pitting and some rust. Frizzens in same condition and hammers. Stocks with some chips and minor wire loss. Actions are good. Horn tipped ramrods are period but possibly not original. Fair bores. Pistols are cased in an elaborate Marquetry inlaid box with wine red velvet interior. French style casing with full accessories comprising glass oil bottle, associated flask engraved "JH 1720", heat blued bullet mold, turnscrew, ramrod, and vent pick. An attractive set of French brass barreled Blunderbuss pistols.
