Japanese Type 99, Series 37 manufactured by Tokyo Juki Kogyo between 1940 to 1945. Bolt does not match receiver, but matches itself. Bayonet stud band is unnumbered. Mum has been obliterated. Rear sights anti-aircraft wings are not present. CONDITION: Metal components retain 85% of arsenal applied finish, showing usual wear on bolt and buttplate with light wear on bayonet stud band. Wood retains majority of arsenal applied varnish and shows many scattered handling marks and indentations all around. Bore is bright and shows strong rifling throughout. Action is smooth and locks up tightly. MW
