The 1/4" thick clip point blade features a sharpened false edge and is etched with a foliate panel, reading "ARKANSAS TOOTH PICK"; the ricasso is stamped UNWIN & RODGERS ROYAL CUTLERY SHEFFIELD. The shaped nickel silver guard and handle frame bear an escutcheon on the obverse; the scales are ivory. The scabbard is tight but correct to the knife. c.1830s-1840s. CONDITION: Much of the blade was covered with fine pitting which has been cleaned, but makes the etching difficult to read. The knife has not been used or sharpened much, and the sheath is in fine condition. The handle scales appear to have been replaced some time ago.
