Sheffield bowie knife with sweeping clip point blade, the tang stamped CORSAN DENTON BURDEKIN & CO. and the blade's false edge faintly etched "Corsan Denton Bur..." Full tang construction, oval guard with ornate nickel silver bolsters and pommels, horn scales with escutcheon on obverse. Period replacement leather sheath. c. 1852-1863. CONDITION: Blade with signs of use including a few small nicks, lightly cleaned, the handle with a few small areas of insect damage.
