31 - 1/4" blade etched with Phrygian liberty cap and elaborate eagle with riband in its beak, E Pluribus Unum, and a further Stand By The Union. Left side of blade with Phyrgian liberty cap and U.S. with another Stand By The Union. Characteristic brass guard, fish skin grip with triple braided copper wire wrap. Steep scabbard with three mounts. CONDITION: Blade is good with some wear, no real rust or pitting. Etching of unusual type with Phrygian cap and Stand By The Union motto. Schuyler, Hartley and Graham at forte. Condition of guard is a deep even age brown patina. Scabbard is deep even age brown. Mounts same condition. Drag has the obligatory door pinch. An interesting Civil War saber with rather unusual Phrygian cap and Stand By The Union.
