Luftwaffe dagger with a stunning double etched blade marked "Emil Voos, Solingen", with some light staining near the tip and crossguard. The blade is nickel plated with finely executed acid etching on both sides. The floral pattern is complimented with a Luftwaffe flying eagle in the middle of the front side. Blade retains its leather washer. Aluminum blade fitting are undamaged with both pommel swastikas having a gilt finish. The one on the front retains approximately 90% of its finish, and the one on the back retains approximately 70% of its finish. The wire-wrapped yellow trylon grip is undamaged, and a fine porteppee is attached. Scabbard is undamaged with a very light uniform patina to its finish, and some light freckling near the fittings. A high quality deluxe hanger assembly is attached and is marked "U.E.10 RZM" and "D.R.G.M." A very fine high quality example of a double etched Luftwaffe dagger. CONDITION: Overall excellent to near mint.
