Comprising: A) A framed 12" by 20" (25" x 16-1/4" framed) etching, hand colored and titled "A Prospective View of the Battle fought near Lake George on the 8th of Sept. 1755 between 2000 English with 250 Mohawks under the command of Genl. Johnson & 2500 French & Indians under the command of Genl. Dieskau in which the English were victorious captivating the French Genl. with a number of his men, killing 700 & putting the rest to flight." At the bottom "Copied from an Engraving in the N.Y. State Library, published according to Act of Parliament the 2nd 1756. Lith of Richard H. Pease Albany in 1752." CONDITION: Some staining in lower left corner and four vertical fold lines, one minor tear center of left edge. B) Small document dated 1759 written from Crown Point by Ensign Saml. Teylor, a small engraved map showing Crown Point to Fort Edward, measures 7-1/2 by 4-1/2". Also included is a small note dated 1757 from Fort Edward. Framed, measures 23-1/2" by 14". CONDITION: Very good, some minor staining and minor losses to edges on top document.
