Original first edition printing of H.A. Ogden's 1888 'Uniform of the Army of the Unites States 1774 -1889' with chromolitho plates. PHILADELPHIA DEPOT OF THE QUARTERMASTER'S DEPARTMENT - ISAAC FRIEDENWALD, LITHOGRAPHER & PRINTER, BALTIMORE. Cover is brown textured cloth boards with title on front board in gold. CONDITION: Pages are clean with no writing or tears. Leather binding needs repair on the edge, pages are clean and illustrations are in excellent condition. These are 44 beautiful plates on heavy textured cream stock that could be framed separately or kept in their book form. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Wagner cavalry museum collection.
