Punitive Expedition to World War I era M-1904 McClellan Saddle with 12'' seat. Ensemble includes a very rare leather trimmed canvas shabraque with '10's on the corners for the 10th US Cavalry which was an all African-American "Buffalo Soldier" unit. Complete with hooded 'US' stamped stirrups, World War I US cavalry canteen associated rigging, and a off-side stirrup fitted with rare guidon socket. CONDITION: Sheepskin panels retain approximately 60% original material. PROVENANCE: Dr. Frank Wagner cavalry museum collection.
