Features round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, thumb safety marked "RUST" with an arrow pointing down, extractor marked "GELADN" on the left side, center toggle link marked "MAUSER" and "1940" over the chamber. This is an all matching numbers gun. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 98% of the non-original applied blue finish, straw small parts have 98% of the non-original straw color. New checkered wood grips with sharp checkering. Good bore with sharp lands and grooves showing some wear. FXO magazine with a matching numbered aluminum bottom. This gun was ordered February, 1940 for the Dutch Navy. After the Germans invaded the Netherlands in May of 1940 the contract was never fulfilled. Serial number 2655v to 3254v received German proofs on the right side of the receiver and were issued to German troops. All of this information can be found in the book The Dutch Luger by Bas J.
