This pistol began life as a standard commercial pre-war Model 1911. Retains all of its original circa 1920 parts including small front sight, U notch rear sight with beveled edges, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, long smooth trigger, flat mainspring housing with lanyard, and correct period barrel with perpendicular "PH" inspector stamp. Custom engraved in nearly full coverage with a leaf and flower pattern and fitted with a pair of carved ivory grips with American eagle and star motif. Finished in a soft grey. Visible area of barrel has been jeweled. CONDITION: All legends are sharp. Fine working condition. Strong, clean bore.
