In 1961, Colt produced 7,390 special Single Action Army .45 revolvers to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Colt. This is what would become a new market for them producing special revolvers to commemorate events. These special 2nd Generation Colts featured full blued finish, six shot fluted cylinder, gold plated backstrap, trigger guard, hammer, trigger, ejector pin and ejector rod head. The original walnut grips were replaced with custom fitted real Mother of Pearl grips which really sets this pair apart from the crowd. The left side of the barrel is stamped "125TH ANNIVERSARY SINGLE ACTION ARMY MODEL .45 CAL.". CONDITION: Neither revolver appears to have ever been fired and remain in near new condition. They are one number off from consecutive numbers 2258 and 2260. If you are looking for a nice looking 2nd Generation set with some bling, you will love this pair.
