Three groove conversion of a percussion era Sharps Civil War carbine as US issued during the Indian Wars. Features round barrel, post front sight, Lawrence rear sight, saddle ring and bar, old tape priming system intact, and walnut stocks. CONDITION: All metal surfaces are a soft brown patina. Stocks are excellent with just the usual marks but no visible DFC ribbon. Sharp legends. Fine strong bore. A nice, used, smooth example of a carbine that saw use in the Civil War, returned to the arsenal where it was updated for cartridge use and then used on the frontiers of America during the shameful Indian Wars.
