Lot consists of: (A) Model 37 Airweight. Features alloy frame, and steel barrel and cylinder. It is a blue finish gun with case colored hammer and trigger and sports the diamond checkered walnut grips with silver medallion. The last year that this gun was offered with diamond grips and no J prefix in the serial number was 1968. It is a five shot double action revolver with fluted cylinders and pinned barrel. This model was introduced in 1951 and has a three screw frame. A trigger shoe has been added. CONDITION: Aside from a light drag line and a few small surface marks on left side of frame, gun is near new. Hammer has bright colors and grips are near mint. Fine bore and action. Comes in a walnut case. (B) Boxed Model 36 with blue finish. It is referred to as the Chief's Special. Built on the J frame with round butt, five shot, double action, and case colored hammer and trigger. This model was introduced in 1950. CONDITION: Grips have been replaced with rubber. Has some small surface marks on cylinder, top of frame, and barrel. Has been used and/or carried. Fine bore and action. Comes in correct box numbered to the gun.
