This is an extremely early Parker Trojan, made in 1914. It has double triggers, extractors, and non-auto safety. Marked on both sides "Parker Bros". No. 2 frame. Full knob pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist black "Decelerator" brand pad. There is a leather comb rise which has been glued on to the comb and will likely come off. The friction forend is checkered in standard Trojan pattern. CONDITION: Good. Action has silvered with traces of color in protected areas. Stocks, with checkering somewhat worn, retain about 80% of an older restored finish and have subsequent bumps and scratches. There is a sliver of wood missing at the frame on the right side of the forend, and beginning grain separations behind top tang, otherwise stocks are sound. Bores are mostly bright and shiny, mechanics are good. A great rainy day hunting partner! JSL17
