A) Group identified to Private Stanley Stackhouse, Fifth Division, Sixth Infantry, Machine Gun Company, which consists of: Wool tunic with Fifth Division patch, discharge chevron and two gold overseas chevrons on left sleeve and infantry PFC chevron on right sleeve. Collar displays a “US / 6” and Infantry / MG collar disks. Pinned on the chest is a Victory Medal with “St Mihiel”, “Meuse Argonne” and “Defensive Sector” bars, Pistol Sharpshooter badge, and 1930 VFW medal. Tunic is in very good condition showing minor wear: Wool trousers showing wear: Wool garrison cap in excellent condition: Model 1917 Helmet with partially detached liner, the crown painted with a (worn) American shield: Leather garrison belt: Web belt: Aluminum cup marked “US”: Wool blanket: Two letters addressed to Stackhouse in France: Five post-war letters addressed to Stackhouse: Browning Machine Gun manual dated 1918: Musketry manual dated 1917, “Diary of the Machine Gun Co 60th Infantry” booklet: History of the Fifth Division book dated 1919. Unless noted, all material is in good condition showing moderate wear.
B) Thirty First Division Group, consisting of: Wool tunic with Thirty First Division patch one overseas chevron on left sleeve and corporal's chevrons on left sleeve. Pinned to the chest is a Victory Medal with “France” bar and Sharpshooter badge. “US” and Infantry / F collar disks. Tunic displays a number of small scattered holes: Camouflage Model 1917 helmet with Thirty First Division insignia painted on each side. Lining is in excellent condition, exterior shows wear on the crown: Wool garrison cap with a few moth holes: Model 1910 eagle snap nine pocket cartridge belt with attached canteen set. Reverse of the belt stenciled “Co H. 124th Inf”. Both belt and canteen show service wear.
C) Group identified to Private Tony Mackiewicz, One Hundred Sixth Regiment Field Artillery. Group consists of: Wool tunic with Twenty Seventh Division patch, discharge chevron and two gold overseas chevrons on left sleeve. “USNA” and Artillery / E collar disks. Chest pinned with a Victory Medal displaying “Meuse-Argonne” and “Defensive Sector” bars: 1934 reunion badge and an American Legion medal. Tunic is in excellent condition showing minor wear: 19 issues of “The Howitzer” newspaper, printed in Neuhausel German on occupation duty, very good condition: 1917 Enlistment certificate, framed but showing wear.
