Lot consists of: Group identified to Corporal Jack A. Sheridan, 5th Amphibious Corps who served on Iwo Jima. This group consists of: USMC tunic, interior dated 1942-43 and inked with the initials “J.S.” The left sleeve with 5th Amphibious Corps patch and corporal chevrons. Chest displays ribbon bar and Marksman Badge: Black leather garrison belt: Garrison cap: Visor cap. All material is in very good or better condition, the visor cap missing its sweatband. USMC dress uniform with tunic dated 1934-35, left shoulder displays a white discharge diamond, both sleeves with sergeant chevrons. The collar displays a matching set of “Droopy Wing” EG&A insignia, the left chest with ribbons and Marksman bar. Trousers dated 1933-34. White leather belt with rectangular brass buckle. Blue dress cap, inked under the sweatband “E.S. Whitney”. The tunic is in excellent condition, trousers display some small scattered holes, visor cap with crazing to the leather visor and partially detached sweatband. Tunic interior dated 1939-40. The left sleeve with First Marine Division patch, PFC chevrons on both sleeves, chest displays ribbon bars and Sharpshooter badge engraved on the reverse “C.T. Walker”. Shoulder straps exhibit a matching pair of theater made, screw back, First Marine Division enameled crests. Women's Marine group consisting of: Tunic with sergeant chevrons ribbon bar and collar insignia, interior named “Agnes Patane”. Matching skirt, also named. Cloth cover visor cap. Pair of issue shoes dated 1944. Khaki cotton shirt. 3 photographs of Sergeant Patane. Material is in excellent condition showing minor wear. Also included in the lot are two enlisted visor caps, one missing its leather sweatband, garrison cap, lighter with enameled First Marine Division crest on the face, the reverse engraved “1st Marine Div. Korea 1952”, crest shows minor damage. Purple Heart certificate named to “Private First Class Robert E Davis, Jr” , killed in action September 20, 1944, which would be for action at Peleliu.
