Elgin "Father Time" Marine Chronometer, no. 21549193, the 2 1/8-in. porcelain roman numeral dial marked "Elgin National Watch Co.", with sunk subsidiary seconds and up/down indicator dials, 21-jewel, free-sprung, damascened nickel movement with screw-down gold jewel settings, in a gimbaled brass bowl, all in a three-tier mahogany box with inset brass maker's plate. Box measures 5-1/8" square, contained within its felt-lined mahogany outer box with front plate marked "Elgin National Watch Company 21549193". Chronometer is in excellent running condition.
