Lot consists of: (A) One of the standard grenades of the World War II German Army, this is the Eihandgranate 39 (egg grenade). This example is in fine condition, with a sprinkling of light surface corrosion. The B.Z.E. fuze is intact with excellent paint. The exception with this grenade is the presence of the lower half of the rarely found “splittermantel” fragmentation sleeve, which is in excellent condition. (B) This is another of the Eihandgranate 39 (egg grenade). This example is in good/poor condition, with moderate corrosion across the entire body. The body is sound, the bottom ring is present and the B.Z.E. fuze is intact.
