Lot consists of: (A) Competing with the British Mills Bomb for “Most Countries Used by in the World” is the Soviet F1, used by different countries from World War I through the present. This example is in excellent condition with excellent original paint. The grenade is marked on the base with a date of 63, this is matched by the date on the UZRGM fuze. There appears to be a foundry mark of “D” under the paint. (B) The earliest F1 of this lot is a Soviet F1, having original paint with very interesting markings on the base in red ink. The grenade is marked “107/4 254-50 TNT”. The fuze is a hard to find early Koveshnikov fuze designed in 1931 and used into World War II until replaced by the UZRG. The fuze is in excellent condition and appears to be complete with the exception of the detonator. (C) interesting copy of the Russian RKG-3 is this Chinese Type 3 Anti-Tank Grenade. The grenade uses a shaped explosive charge to achieve armor penetration. A drag parachute built into the handle of the grenade stabilizes it during use to ensure that the grenade impacts correctly for maximum effectiveness. This example is in good/poor condition, with multiple EOD “inert” holes drilled in the body to signify the lack of explosive fill. There is a dent in the lower portion of the body of the grenade and the paint and markings are moderately worn. The grenade is heavily marked and the Chinese characters can be observed around the body.
