Lot consists of: (A) The grandfather of both the US MKI/II and the Russian F1, this World War I French F1 is in excellent condition. It is painted in the practice red and the paint exhibits the dark aged shade that makes these grenades so attractive. It has the 1916 Billiant fuze with light surface corrosion and remnants of the original leather washer. (B) Another classic World War I French grenade is this Citron Foug. This is a solid example with no paint and light corrosion, but no pitting. The hard to find sheet metal fuze cap is present, with a dent in the very end. A decent example in very good condition.
