A great World War I German M17. This grenade is in fine condition, with worn but legible markings on the stick and circumference of the body. Markings on the head of the body are clear, Str. M, 1.3.18. This is a later variation of the M1917, and is closer to the M24 design with only the single roll crimp near the joint with the stick. The pull string and ceramic bead are present.
