Grouping consists of a rare USMC World War I officer P1912 Winter Service uniform with bronze, pin backed officer EGA's on collar and brown leather Sam Browne belt. Multi-piece wool, 1st Bn, 6th Marines Indian head patch sewn on left shoulder with correct World War I Fourragere pinned under epaulette. Medals include a government engraved Purple Heart named to: "CHARLES C. DAVIS", French Croix de Guerre with palm leaves and silver star, World War I Victory Medal with Aisne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, and Defensive Sector bars, World War I French War Commemorative Medal, and a Detroit American Legion 1931 Veteran's Reunion Medal. Glengarry cap is British made with USMC buttons to front with pin backed bronze officer EGA affixed. Included is a USMC rosewood swagger stick with EGA sterling cap and tip, and a brass U.S. issue trench whistle made by Horstmann of Philadelphia. CONDITION: All items is very good to excellent, with the only exception being three small moths nips to Glengarry cap.
