For a very similar example, see plate 365.S on page 183 of "Swords and Blades of the American Revolution" by George C. Neumann. Wide slightly curved blade with partial single fuller near top. Iron shell pattern guard with engraved lines. Thin forward curling quillon and thin knucklebow with flattened sections in center. Bone grip. CONDITION: Very good with dark heavy patina on all iron components. Grip shows some wear from use. Nice Revolutionary War or earlier sword.
