This sword is similar to plate 69. S on page 84 of "Swords and Blades of the American Revolution" by George C. Neumann. It has a slightly curved blade with wide, single fuller and thin, deep fuller. Simple, hand forged cast guard and wood grip with brass ferrule at each end. CONDITION: Blade retains a dark patina and shows heavy wear, tip has been shortened and rounded during period of use. Guard retains a dark patina. Grip shows large age crack on right side and brass ferrules retain a dark patina.
