This is a lot of 24 M4 bayonets produced by W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Company in the original shipping box. 23 of the knives are still sealed, one has been opened to demonstrate contents. Exterior of box stamped "25 Bayonet-Knife M4/ Drawing No. 20-2B-58 / 25 Scabbard, Bayonet-Knife M8A1 / Drawing No. 20-2B-57 / SNL B-8 No. W-36-061-CRC-1013 / Manufacture W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company". Tape applied to top reads "25 EA. BAYONET, KNIFE M-4 / W/ SCABBARD M8A1 / B1-6702251". "44595" marked on top in pencil. Individual boxes are marked "1 EA. BAYONET KNIFE M4 / W/ SCABBARD M8A1 / B1-6702261". One flap marked "Case & Sons / Bradford PA". One knife and case has been removed at some point, presumably to check contents. CONDITION: Box is in fair condition given its age, with some staining. Tape is losing adhesive and peeling in places. Knives are still in their original boxes with the exception of the demonstration piece. An astonishingly rare and desirable lot.
