This is an original case of 24 M4 bayonets produced by the Utica Cutlery Company out of New York, 23 are still sealed. Exterior of box, left side, stamped "25 Bayonet-Knife M4 / Drawing No. 20-2B-58 / 25 Scabbard, Bayonet-Knife M8A1 / Drawing No. 20-2B-57/ SNL B-37 / Utica Cutlery Co. / Utica, N.Y." The individual boxes are stamped with the same information in addition to "1 EA. Bayonet Knife M4/ W/SCABBARD M8A1 / B1-6702251." 23 knives are still sealed and have never been opened, one opened to show contents. One box is missing, presumably from someone confirming the contents. Bayonets with leather handles and scabbards are early M8s with leather thong. CONDITION: Box is good for age with some staining. Tape is starting to peel in locations with some tape losses. 23 knives are still sealed in their original boxes with one opened. A fabulous and totally unique find.
