Lot consists of (A) Contemporary Scottish feathered bonnet of an old pattern made by Piob Mhor in Scotland. Features red and white dicing, white hackle, and insignia that duplicates the Seaforth Highlander's cap badge featuring a stag head above a ribbon reading "Cuidich 'n Righ" (Gaelic: Help the King!). Piob Mhor handmakes their bonnets out of high quality ostrich feather, knitted woolen dicing, and leather straps. Interior is a red satin with leather sweatband. CONDITION: Excellent as recently produced. Complete, displaying only the slightest hints of wear. (B) is a British Busby with white hackle, leather sweatband, and wicker cage structure. CONDITION: Good, with no bald spots that would indicate hair had been pulled out. Wicker appears intact. Some of the interior metal hooks have some patination. A nice lot of two European pieces of headgear.
