Consists of: Cased slot-brooch Purple Heart officially name on the reverse "Leonard E. Neal". Accompanying the medal is an official document dated May 19,1945 for Sergeant Leonard E. Neal for wounds received in action and resulting in his death March 11, 1945, letter concerning Sergeant Neal's burial, photograph of US military cemetery in Belgium, newspaper clippings reporting him as missing in action and his death on March 11, 1945 at Remagen during the Rhine river crossing. Included is the volume " Rough And Ready Unit History 276 Engineer Combat Battalion" printed in 1946, listing Sergeant Neal as Killed In Action. CONDITION: Purple Heart and documents are in excellent condition, unit history shows moderate wear. Also included with the group is a slot-brooch Purple Heart officially named on the reverse "Richard S. Reichman" who was Killed In Action as the result of stepping on a wooden Schu mine near Eschweiler Germany, and a 2004 volume "Battle Bridges" which references Captain Reichman. CONDITION: Excellent. Also included is an original photograph of Charles Lindbergh's airplane "The Spirit Of St Louis" measuring 1-3/4" X 2-3/4".
