Wonderful attic condition Roman style Confederate Artillery short sword made by E.J. Johnson of Macon, Georgia. This sword displays all the distinct features associated with these model blades: casting flaws, red tinted brass, etc. of a Confederate manufactured example. CONDITION: Sword retains untouched dark red-gold patina on the brass hilt and grip. Under magnification casting grains are visible indicative of the brass being cast in a sand mold. Sword shows evidence of period use, and blade is in relic condition as one would expect. 19" blade is un-fullered, elliptical, and free of major bends or deformities despite the its age. Nice solid example of this style blade. PROVENANCE: Former Middle Tennessee Relics.

Item Dimensions: (24" Total Length x 2" W - Blade itself is 19").
