The last carbine of the Krag production was the first to eliminate the saddle ring and bar. It is a fine, all original carbine in super condition. Features blued round barrel with pinned and ramp front sight, Krag carbine marked rear sight, frame stamped "US MODEL 1899", single barrel band. The walnut stock as a razor sharp cartouche "JSA 1901" along with cursive "P" on wrist. CONDITION: Barrel and trigger guard retain 98% bright arsenal blue. Stock is near mint with just some minor handling marks. Bright fire blue on extractor. Mottled dark grey frame and gate. Brilliant bore and action. You will be very pleased with this nice carbine.
