The 16 - 3/4" blade of characteristic form, well etched throughout, with strap work and florals. Maker and date etched into ricasso. The plain steel guard of characteristic main gauche form. Small pommel with turnings. The grip wrapped with copper wire and banded with steel straps. CONDITION: Blade is patinated but etching is excellent. Steel guard patinated as is pommel. Copper wire wrap is excellent. A large and most attractive example of this unusual and most interesting type of dagger.
