A good and well formed 62 plate bowl with hundreds of small rivets on each plate. The brim or mabizashi of russet iron en suite with engraved brass trim. The fukugayashi with with gilt mon and engraving en suite with brim. Tehan of five pieces engraved and of Sentoku and Shakudo. Shokuro of five lames in red lacquer. Outsized fantastic midate in the form of horns and a red moon, further decorated with long animal hair, making the helmet spectacular. CONDITION: Overall would rate very good, lacing on shokuro is torn in places and should be fixed. Helmet secured with very fine picture wire. A fine example of a samurai helmet.
