Lot consists of: (A) REMINGTON Model 81 semi-automatic rifle. Referred to as the Woodmaster, it was an updated Model 8 that was made from 1936-50. This example is in the .300 Savage caliber. It featured a blue finish with pistol grip walnut stock and forend. A waffle pad has been added. The rear sight has been removed and holes have fillers and a rare frame mounted peep sight has been installed. CONDITION: Metal retains approximately 95% of the original factory blue finish with some scattered light freckling. Stocks are excellent with usual handling marks. Bore is sharp and clean. (B) Custom full stocked Sako L579 bolt action rifle. Barrel features a full matted rib with no provision for a rear sight and frame is fitted with scope mounts and rings. The custom full length stock, no checkering, high roll-over comb, rakish pistol grip, contrasting forend tip and grip cap and fitted with a waffle pad. CONDITION: Rifle is in near new condition as custom built and finished. CORRECTION: Gun (A) has water damage to the stock from the butt forward approximately 4".
