In 1924 for the first time, Springfield Armory used barrels not made by Springfield Armory to build rifles for the 1924 International. A number of 30" to 32" H.M. Pope barrels were selected. This could possibly be one those rifles. Subject rifle features a full round barrel stamped by famed barrel maker Henry M. Pope with Fecker target scope, micrometer adjustable mounts, and Winchester style checkering on stock; all features of a 1924 International Match rifle. CONDITION: Excellent plus overall, most of the original Armory applied finish remains. Bore is bright. Excellent opportunity to acquire a rare and potentially historic match target rifle, deserves further research.
