Lot consists of: (A) Non-Savage barrel, takedown with tang sight and walnut stocks. CONDITION: Overall blue-silver metal blending. Stock is shot. Clean bore. Fine shooter with a good tang sight. (B) Savage 1899 takedown rifle featuring perch belly pistol grip checkered walnut stock and forend. Rifle sports a round barrel with sporting front sight, filled rear sight slot and tang sight. Top of frame has been drilled for scope. Early rifle made in 1915. This rifle was only available from 1914-1921. CONDITION: 80% fading blue on barrel with 30% fading bright blue on frame. Wood is proud to metal in very good to excellent shape with some wear to checkering but still nice looking wood and no cracks. Rifling is strong but does have some residue remains.
