In 1971, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the National Rifle Association, Colt produced a total of 6,949 special revolvers. They offered them in both 5-1/2" and 7-1/2" and in .357 Magnum as well as in .45 Colt. This example is a 7-1/2" .45 caliber. It is finished in blue and case colors. The original grips have been changed with a pair of real stags. The left side of the barrel is stamped "1871-NRA CENTENNIAL-1971" and gold filled. The caliber markings are on right side. There is also an engraved "R" on top of back strap. Walnut case features special medallion. CONDITION: Gun has drag line and has been fired but still solid 99%.
