This Colt left the factory, according to letter, on August 27th, 1902 as shipped to Simmons Hardware in St. Louis. It is listed as a .38-40 with a 5-1/2" barrel and blue finish. This revolver had an unmarked 16", .45 Long Colt barrel added and a matching new cylinder. Gun was reblued and recase colored. Caliber was checked but there are no stamps on barrel. A reproduction skeleton stock accompanies gun. CONDITION: It locks up tight and bore is near mint. Overall, cool gun that will be a great shooter and remains in near new condition as refinished and rebuilt.
