Lot consists of (A) Windlass Cutlery made Saber bayonet. Ricasso marked "WINDLASS / MADE IN INDIA". Comes with frog. CONDITION: Very fine as recently manufactured, retaining virtually all of its finish. Brass handle is good with little evidence of use. Scabbard is equally fine as recently manfactured and quite shiny. Stitching is tight, a few nicks in the leather as befits use. (B) Reproduction of a U.S. marked bayonet, probably for a Springfield flintlock rifle. Blade stamped "U.S. / S" CONDITION: Fine as recently manufactured. Machining marks are visible on metal which is in the white. A few scratches are visible, presumably from use. Comes with a brass mounted leather scabbard, marked for "E. Gaylord / Chicopee / Mass" and "J.C. Miller / U.S. Ord. Dept / Sub-Inspector", which is also in fine condition and of recent construction. (C) Is a reproduction of a Civil War Cartridge box, with "J. C. Miller / U.S. / Ord. Dept / Sub Inspector" stamped into leather on bottom right on top flap. Inner flap marked "E. Gaylord / Chicopee / Mass". CONDITION Good as of recent construction. Stitching is tight, a few nicks in leather from use. Aluminum inserts are patinated but clearly of modern make. A nice lot for someone looking for high quality reenacting equipment.
