The blade in bright full excellent polish with hochoji hamon temper line. Mokume hada shinogi tsokuri form. Tang is suriage with one mekugi-ana. The smith who shortened the blade retaining a portion of the original nakago to preserve the signature. Cat scratched silver foil habaki. Soft metal tsuba with gold details. Handle mounted in daimyo style with fine but unsigned shkudo nanako. Copper menuki, horn kashira, modern rewrap. Black lacquer saya in fine condition. Kogai with prancing horses. Signed Kozuka blade. A nicely mounted wakizashi.
