Offered is a fine, all original, 1889 dated trapdoor that features standard Buffington rear sight, block stamped US Model 1884, lock has eagle but not dated, no trapdoor, standard rod, twin bands, sharp "SWP 1889" cartouche (Sam Porter), and cursive "P" on bottom of wrist. CONDITION: Barrel retains 95% arsenal blue with some scattered age spots. There is at least 85% original case colors on block. Lock and hammer retain 75% of their oil quenched finish. Even the buttplate retains 45% bright blue with dull blue patina on bands. Traces of blue on screws. Strong bore. Comes with original bayonet.
