Originally made as a muzzle loading shotgun, this gun has been converted to hammer fire during its period of use. It has Damascus barrels with concave rib and steel front bead. Screw fastened forend with wedge to remove stocks. A higher grade gun with nicely scroll engraved locks and hammers. Butt with tear drop behind action is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a full steel buttplate. Double Triggers. Side lever opener. Trigger guard is nicely scroll engraved as are hammers. CONDITION: Very good as partially restored. Stocks retain most of an older restored finish. Barrels retain about 70% of a restored finish. Action is slivered. Bores are good with orange peel. Overall an attractive and interesting conversion. CORRECTION: Antique shotgun manufactured by William Richards of Liverpool.
