This rifle was made during the last year of pre-war production. It has the distinctive stripper clip cut in the frame otherwise standard fair with ramp front sight, a later folding leaf rear sight on collar, straight comb walnut stock with checkered pistol grip and fore-end. The rubber shotgun style recoil pad is a more recent addition. Left side of frame sports a Lyman 48 peep sight. CONDITION: Stock is equipped with sling swivels and has an added coat of varnish. Left side of frame has two filled frame sight holes. Stock has usual bumps and bruises. Barrel retains 95% original dulling factory blue finish. Floorplate has 85% original high polish blue while trigger guard is brown patina. Rifling is strong but dull. No etched serial number on bolt.
