Lot consists of: (A) Made between 1905 and 1918 for Sears Roebuck & Co., features a Grade 30 with twist steel barrels, matted rib with brass bead sight, extractors and automatic safety. Gun has case hardened sideplate action with engraved pointing dog on each side and double triggers. Walnut checkered stock with capped pistol grip and checkered forearm with latch release. CONDITION: Barrels retains 40% twist finish turning a brown color with mirror bores. Action has 20% case turning a plum color. Wood has been refinished and checkering re-cut. The wrist has been broken and repaired and seems solid. Solid mechanically and functions fine. (B) Savage made Fox Sterlingworth produced in 1932. This gun has blued Sterlingworth compressed fluid steel barrels with concave matted rib with brass sight bead. Case hardened boxlock action with double triggers, automatic safety and extractors. Lot has capped checkered pistol grip stock with hard rubber buttplate and checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: Barrels have 80% of a possible reblue with spotty marks from handling. Bores are bright and shiny. Wood has been rubbed and checkering has been re-cut. Action retains 60% original colors. Solid mechanically and functions.
