Basically an updated Model 1897 that still features the full octagon barrel, full magazine, takedown, case color frame, walnut stocks that feature the classic swept back pistol grip, and Marlin monogrammed buttplate. The front sight is intact but the rear sight has a filler as the rifle is topped with a vintage Weaver B-4 scope. CONDITION: Barrel and tube retain approximately 85% original factory bright blue that blends with soft patina. The frame retains 85% bright case color on left side with about 40% on right. The bolt retains most of its original bright blue. The stock is excellent but has been refinished. Fine sharp bore and action.
