Lot consists of: (A) Clip point blade stamped with reclining lion and RABONE BROS & CO. Nickel silver guard and ferrule with turned horn handle; back portion of handle unscrews to reveal secret compartment concealing three bone dice. Leather belt sheath with attached buckled strap apparently for attachment to arm or leg. Rabone Brothers was a Sheffield manufacturer about which little is known, this knife dates c. late 19th century. CONDITION: Blade lightly used, gray, with scattered spotting. Handle intact but with multiple cracks. Blade 7", overall 11-1/2". (B) Bowie knife with iron guard and ferrule and turned bone handle; back portion of handle unscrews to reveal secret compartment concealing three bone dice. Unmarked clip point blade with sabre grind. Age uncertain. Leather sheath a modern replacement. CONDITION: Blade shows moderate sharpening, handle with one crack. 6" blade, 10-1/4" overall.
