Large English hunting knife with finely made double edged, hollow ground blade measuring 1-3/4" wide at crossguard, marked DOBBY, 95 STRAND on both sides. Shaped silver guard, ferrule and pommel, one-piece stag handle. Silver mounted Moroccan leather sheath with twin suspension rings includes secondary spear point utility knife with forged bolster blade 3-3/4" in length, marked CAMTANOS (?) NYROP. London's John Dobby was located at 95 Strand begnning around 1850 and was certainly gone by 1870. CONDITION: Both blades with signs of use, light spotting, lightly cleaned. Sheath missing 40% of leather covering.
