Introduced in 1896 and made until 1916. Easily identified by the conventional trigger with guard rather than spur trigger. This pistol barrel has been reblued and the barrel number does not match the frame and/or matching nickel plated shoulder stock. The front sight is a folding Beech style, the rear sight is a single blade and is a replacement. Pistol has the rare grip strap mounted long range tang sight. CONDITION: Nickel plated frame retains 90% of its original finish. Strong clean rifling. Working extractor. 80% original nickel on matching metal stock. This tang sight can be found mounted on this pistol on page 81 in the book entitled "Stevens Pistols and Pocket Rifles" by Kenneth Cope.
