Introduced in 1896 and made until 1916. Easily identified by the conventional trigger with guard rather than spur trigger. This pistol has matching nickel plated shoulder stock and frame. The front sight is a folding Beech style, the rear sight slot has a filler and has the rare grip strap mounted long range tang sight. CONDITION: Nickel plated frame retains 98% of its original finish. Barrel retains at least 95% factory blue with some patina showing through finish. Strong, clean rifling. Working extractor. 90% original nickel on matching metal stock. This tang sight can be found mounted on this pistol on page 81 in the book entitled "Stevens Pistols and Pocket Rifles" by Kenneth Cope. Walnut grips are near mint. This is an outstanding example of an all matching high condition Stevens.
