Coffin shaped handle with nickel silver guard and handle frame, the pommels featuring a reclining lion in relief. Clip point blade with sharpened false edge, stamped WRAGG [& SO]NS XLNT FURNACE HILL SHEFFIELD, traces of foliate etching still visible. Superb Moroccan leather sheath with nickel silver tip and throat. The Wragg & Sons marking dates circa 1845-1851. CONDITION: Blade appears full but has been buffed bright, horn with small chips are on reverse. Sheath mounts with a few dents.
